Provincial Public Library in Krakow undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The website www.mbc.malopolska.pl is  partially compliant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the non-compliance or exclusions listed below.

Inaccessible items and content

      - some elements have a reduced colour contrast between graphic objects that act as buttons and the background

       - some elements and content of the website, including search engines and forms, may be incorrectly recognisable by screen readers

       - some files are not digitally accessible

Handling of requests and complaints related to accessibility

Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of this website or its elements. When submitting a request, please provide:

       - your name,

       - your contact details,

       - the exact chat element or its content that is not digitally accessible,

       - a description of what the problem is and how it would best be resolved, if the request is to make inaccessible information accessible in an alternative form.

 The Provincial Public Library in Krakow should process the request promptly, no later than within 7 days from the date of the request. If it is not possible to comply with this deadline, it shall inform the applicant when the execution will be possible, but the deadline shall not be longer than 2 months from the date of the request. If it is not possible to ensure digital accessibility, the Library may propose an alternative method of access to information and indicate a new date for settling the matter. In a situation where the Library refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or an alternative way of access to information, the applicant may file a complaint regarding the accessibility of the digital website.

After the above procedure has been completed, a complaint can be submitted to the Ombudsman.
